We are celebrating one year of virtual city life: On April 16th 2007 we opened the first sim of newBERLIN in Second Life® to the public. At a real/virtual press conference the city as well as the whole concept of duplicating buildings as well as city life and business services was introduced and explained. The opening of newBERLIN led to a wide resonance within local and national media. There were reports e. g. in Tagesspiegel , Die Welt , Vanity Fair or ZDF and RBB. A lot has happened since... On our page you can find out more: From now on we will regularly have some posts looking back at the past year. To appropriately celebrate the anniversary we organized a big programm: from 01.05.-04.05.2008 there will be a lot of stuff going on in the city! Same as last year, we will have the legendary revolutional 1. Mai party. And on Saturday, May 3rd a "city rallye" will take place, that will lead you both through the virtual and the real city of Berlin. Material prizes worth 1.000 € are waiting for you!!
