newBERLIN reanimates "Blinkenlights". The light installation that was started 2001 in Haus des Lehers (House of the teachers) is momentarily exposed in the same space in newBERLIN. The installation that doesn't exist in reality anymore was startet at the 20th anniversary of Chaos Computer Club. The eight fllors on top of the Haus des Lehrers were used as a gigantic coumputer-display, the 144 being its pixels. The lighting of the windows was operated by a computerprogramm. The animations on the building could be made via a software from every computer, via mobile phone it was even possible to play Pong.
