Latest news from the real and the virtual Alexa shopping center in newBERLIN: From February 2nd onwards there is a new Ice Age in Berlin - because then ALEXA PRESENTS ON ICE BERLIN starts! In a especially constructed thermo-hall within the foyer, visitors can marvel at more than 30 fading works of art. 50 international artists build a blinking world of wonders out 500 tons of snow and ice, that invites you on a ramble through 4000 years of history and over all continents. Of course also some Berlin sights are part of the exhibition. Make sure to be dressed warmly! To keep the works of art alive until the end of the exhibition on april 6th, the thermo-hall has a temperature of minus 8°! ALEXA PRESENTS ON ICE BERLIN is opend daily from 10 am to 10 pm from February 2nd to April 6th 2008. Some of the works of art have been reproduced in newBERLIN in Second Life® and can be gazed at at the virtual Alexa. Teleport link to the virtual ice works.
