newBERLIN is growing in size and freedom! First of all we opend up new grounds: namely the greens underneath the Brandenburger Tor and the Siegessäule as well as the Hackeschen Markt and the Eberswalder Straße in Prenzlauer Berg.

But that's not all! We invite you to take part in building newBERLIN. Feel free and create some of the content of your city! You can build, script, integrate interactive elements and just express yourself when making yourself at home. Only restriction or demand: the real city and the map. For orientation it is displayed on the ground.

Further parts of Berlin are soon to come, e.g. Unter den Linden and Kreuzberg, furthermore we are permanentely developing and completing the parts already existing.

After installing the free software all you have to do is log in and you will find yourself within the Welcome Area of newBERLIN. This so called GNC (German Newbie Center) welcomed more than 30.000 "newbies" throughout the past 6 months! 

Here you can experience newBERLIN, the true.to-scale reproduction of Berlin in Second Life®. The virtual city offers duplications of real buildings, events, services, enriched by purely virtual content, making the city a very unique platform of mixed reality infotainment.
