Good news for fashion victims – you can now have an online shopping experience at the ALEXA shopping center! ALEXA is the first mall being reproduced in Second Life®. The virtual ALEXA is located in newBERLIN, at its original spot, the Alexanderplatz.

From today on the center is equipped with stores that already have branches in the real center. Visitors can stroll through NICI, Eyecatcher, Fast Forward, X-IT, mobilcom, Bodycheck, Lzwo, Doorbreaker and Subway. These shops offer virtual products that are copies of real stuff and that are all free.

On the occasion of the ALEXA opening in newBERLIN today, Nov. 19, there is a fashion show at 6 p.m. to present the virtual products. This show will be broadcasted to a press conference at the real ALEXA. Following we will throw a party at both locations, as usual with superb live music.

The virtual fashion was created by SL™ designer Freda Fredriksson who is also doing RL fashion and web design.  In June 2007 Frada opened her first Second Life® shop "Freda's Fine Fashion" in Knieff (8,96,187), another shop is in newBERLIN (http://slurl.com/secondlife/New%20Berlin/57/165/31/). In her design office "FashionDesignStudio" she creates costumized fashion and arranges fashion shows.
